Overview
The QAH was born with Johann Strauss Jr.; the QAH will surely fade away with Johann Strauss Jr. Why?
Because there are encounters one never forgets, encounters that shape a destiny; there are composers who permeate your musical universe and cling to you like a second skin.
Johann Strauss has accompanied us for 25 years—his melodies, his lightness, his festive spirit, but also his rigor, his relentless sense of rhythm, and the level of artistic and physical commitment he demands.
He marked his era; he left an imprint that others after him have seized upon to pay him tribute, to amplify his message; that some have dismissed; and that still others have failed to grasp while nevertheless holding a deep admiration for him.
Strauss creates bridges between all of them. Strauss creates bridges between the popular and the learned. Strauss is an alchemist of connection. In this sense, the QAH fully belongs to this legacy. And as for Bryan Montarou, through his hip-hop improvisations, interweaving his movements with those of the four musicians, he becomes its very embodiment.
Through him, Strauss and the QAH, in all humility, become one.
